Argentine Forward Signs One-Year Contract Extension

Mumbai City FC is delighted to announce that Argentine forward Jorge Pereyra Díaz has signed a one-year contract extension, keeping him at the club until the 2024-25 season.
Pereyra Díaz, 33, has been a key player for Mumbai City FC since joining the club in 2020. The striker has made 20 appearances for the club in the Indian Super League, scoring 10 goals.
The Argentine forward has also been a regular scorer in the AFC Champions League, where he has netted three goals in four appearances for Mumbai City FC.
Pereyra Díaz is a versatile forward who can play as a target man or as a second striker. He is a good finisher and has a strong aerial presence.
The Argentine striker is also a valuable member of the Mumbai City FC dressing room. He is a popular figure among his teammates and is always willing to help out the younger players.
Mumbai City FC head coach Des Buckingham is delighted to have secured the services of Pereyra Díaz for another year.
"Jorge is a very important player for us," said Buckingham. "He is a proven goalscorer and he has a great work ethic. He is also a good role model for the younger players in the squad.
